Usha Jambade started singing at the age of eight. Early on, she used to sing the songs of Vamandada. Later she came into the company of famous poet Vijayanand Jadhav from Aurangabad and started singing Bhimgeet. She started a group called ‘Vamanacha Jatha’ with 25 other people. In it, she used to sing songs of Babasaheb, Savitribai Phule, Jyotirao Phule and Gautam Buddha. She has also sung Bhimgeet on All India Radio. The group used to travel with the Vamandas in Ahmedpur, Nanded district and other villages in Vidarbha.
