Shahir Raosaheb Bhaurao Gaikwad

Every year many famous and unknown singers come to Bhima Koregaon and perform for the Ambedkarite movement through their songs. One such artist is Shahir Raosaheb Bhaurao Gaikwad, originally from Dharkhed (Parbhani) village, who had come to Pune in search of work. He currently sells vegetables for a living and writes and sings songs of the movement. He learnt songs from his guruji. We visited his place and documented his interview, song performances and his dairy.
