Yashwant Painter is the leading singer, musician and founder of the Social Service Singing Party (Po. Korochi, District – Kolhapur). The party operates in western Maharashtra and Karnataka border. This group is semi-professional and has been working to spread Ambedkarite ideology through its songs for the last 55 years. Yashwant Painter ,70, also works as a sculptor, creating sculptures of Buddha and Dr.Ambedkar. He has created many sculptures of Ambedkar for the movement.
